PEOPLE LIVING WITH HIV AND AIDS

IntraHealth Namibia advocates for an increase in demand and access to comprehensive HIV prevention, treatment services and interventions for all young people and Key Populations living with HIV and AIDS.

 

It is important for people living with HIV and AIDS to see a health care provider who can help them start medication to treat HIV (called antiretroviral therapy or ART) as soon as possible. ART is recommended for all people with HIV, regardless of how long they have had the virus or how healthy they are. HIV medications help people with HIV live longer, healthier lives and reduce the risk of HIV transmission.
