YIDNEKACHEW TESSEMA

Yidnekachew Tessema is IntraHealth International's Vice President for Human Resources (HR). Prior to joining IntraHealth, he served as a Head of International HR Operations at Research Triangle Institute International. Tessema has held several HR management roles, providing support and expertise in global HR operations, performance and talent management, training and development, business process improvement, coaching and mentoring, and recruitment. He has managed and led global HR projects including defining HR global standards for country projects and developing global HR training programs. Tessema has travelled, worked, and supported project HR and support functions in more than 40 countries around the world.

Tessema has a master’s degree in human resources, a master’s degree in finance and development, and a degree in economics. He is a certified leadership and management trainer and holds Senior HR Professional (SHRM-SCP) and GPHR (Global HR Professional) certifications. He has also received a Strategic HR Leadership certificate from Cornell University.
