PRINCE OWUSU-AFRIYIE

Senior Finance and Operations Manager 

Prince Owusu-Afriyie is a senior finance and operations expert with over 15 years of experience in budgeting, financial and grants management, operations, and risk management, with 12 years of experience in the financial management. He has worked with donors including the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the Global Fund, UNFPA, and the World Food Programme.  Mr. Owusu-Afriyie has a proven track record of overseeing financial management for large consortia of sub-grantees to a high level of quality. 

 

In his current role as Senior Finance and Operations Manager of IntraHealth Namibia and in his previous position as the Director of Finance and Operations with Society for Family Health, he led all strategic financial and technical planning for operations, including human resource development, logistical operations, and procurement services, and has a proven track record of success in setting up financial and operational internal controls and reporting systems, budget preparation, project expense monitoring and developing effective communications and relationships at all levels. 

 

He possesses proven leadership skills in developing, managing, and motivating teams to achieve their financial and administrative objectives. With a solid understanding of donor requirements including Global Fund and USAID requirements, strong leadership, and seasoned financial management abilities, Mr. Owusu-Afriyie brings the expertise required to oversee and manage the financial and administrative aspects of Global Fund supported program.  

 

His academic qualifications include a Masters of Business Administration, Maastricht School of Management, Maastricht, Netherlands, 2009; a Bachelors of Populations and Family Life from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, 1999; as well as a Diploma in Business Studies from Kumasi Polytechnic, Kumasi, Ghana, 1994.
