Empowering Namibia: Informative Aproaches and Outreach Services For HIV and AIDS.
Our approaches include being informative around the message of HIV and AIDS prevention. Through resonating with Key Population aspirations, rather than emphasising risk, we inspire the nation to play their part in Namibia getting to zero new HIV infections.
Furthermore, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Services, we conduct outreach sessions to provide services such as social mobilisation, health education, HIV screening and testing, condom and lubricant distribution, Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) initiation, as well as other health-related services.
For community members that are not aware of PrEP and the benefits of its usage, PrEP is medication taken by Key Populations at risk in order to prevent HIV contraction from sex or injection drug use. When taken as prescribed, PrEP is highly effective in preventing HIV.
